"PoeticPhraze"

Lena "PoeticPhraze" McNeil is a poet, singer, writer, actress, painter, photographer, and play-writer from Pensacola Fl. She began writing and performing at the age of 6. At the age of 12, she had a poem published in a children's anthology. She received modeling and acting training from John Casablancas Model and Career Center, scoring a few modeling jobs in Mobile Al. and Pensacola Fl. in the full-figured category. PoeticPhraze has been called to feature her poetic and singing skills in many cities such as Jacksonville FL., New Orleans LA., Mobile AL., St.Louis MO., Atlanta GA., Charlotte NC., and Charleston SC., to name a few. She was a featured poet during the 100Thousand Poets for change event in Pensacola in 2013 sharing a platform with Preech-The-Profit and Quincy "Q" Hull of "Still Black See". In 2015 PoeticPhraze was a featured poet for The Art Of Xxpression hosted by Kismet Rideau and Brian Turner. She featured her vocal and poetic talents on Quincy "Q" Hull's album "A Son Never Forgets" wherein track 4 she sings Billie Holiday's STRANGE FRUIT, and closes out the album with an original piece she wrote titled FIGHT OR FLIGHT. She went on to showcase her acting skills in Kora Light's Production "The Art Of Love Making" in Atlanta Ga. In August of 2015, she wrote her first play titled LOVE IS BLIND inspired by real events in her life, her mother's life and the life of many other young women in her family in reference to domestic violence.   In November of 2015 PoeticPhraze trademarked and launched her business, POESICAL ENT.™ , LOVE IS BLIND was the first event to go forth under the name in May 2016. LOVE IS BLIND received great reviews opening night and there are plans to take the POESICAL PLAY on the road. Just recently Lena "PoeticPhraze" McNeil of Poesical Ent.™  was asked to fill in as background for EDW Enterprise Blues recording artist Ebony "Raven Salve'" Weatherspoon which led to a feature on the hit WAR & DV track "Victim No More" also  featuring Kenyetta "Yental", and an appearance at the 2017 Spring Fling sharing the stage with some of the hottest Southern Blues Artist to date.  Recently, Poesical Ent.™ has teamed up with Soufwess Music Group to create the non-profit organization CONSCIOUS COHESION, a non-profit organization that uses the power of art to bring about change in the community.
